Jermann
All products from this vendorJermann is the story of a long-term passionate passion. In 1881, the founder of the winery, Anton Jermann, left the Burgenland wine region in Austria, and then the vineyards of Slovenia, in order to take root in the Friuli region of Venezia Giulia, in Italy. Here he continued his work as a winemaker. In the 70s, the talent of his relative Silvio Yerman allowed the family winery to reach unprecedented heights both in Italy and around the world. Today Jermann winery has 150 hectares, of which 130 hectares are allocated for vineyards, and 20 for seeds and horticultural crops. This winery maintains daily contact with the whole world, but pays the greatest attention to everything that makes the wine excellent.
Malvasia Istriana
All products from this varietalMalvasia Istriana, when vinified dry, gives very clean and crispy white wine with white fruit character. Made in sweeter, or off dry styles, Malvasia Istrina shows ripe yellow apple flavors complemented by caramel notes and a touch of spice.
This region is known for its white wines. They are produced from a variety of grapes, and this diversity distinguishes the region from other wine regions. Winemakers use non-traditional Italian varieties like Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling and Pinot Bianco, as well as the very "Italian” Pinot Grigio and local Picolit. Many wine critics agree that Friuli is the best white wine region in Italy.
