Les Champs Gains is a white wine produced in Burgundy, Puligny-Montrachet.
The Champs Gains is located at 330 metres of altitude, above the Montrachet and on the Meursault side. It is one of the most famous “climates” of Chassagne Montrachet. Up to some geologists, Puligny’s geographic position gives to its wines a beautiful elegance.
This wine is only made from Chardonnay. The vines are 30 years old .The terroir is very stony clay-limestone soil. Aging is done for 8 month in French oak barrels from which 30% are new oak. Producing 2400 bottles per year.
The wine itself is rich with lush citrus fruit, and also has a complex scent of ripe, yellow fruit with a touch of floral nuances. Creamy soft, full in the beginning, supported by a lively acidity. The mineral character comes into its own at the end and completes this heavenly wine experience.
