J.P. Seconde “Tradition” Brut Rose

SKU: FRCHJPSSPCH5750NV Category: Tag:
Chardonnay & Pinot Noir | Champagne | France | Sparkling Wine | Jean-Pierre Seconde | N.V. | 0,75 L | 12 %
About
This dry rosé champagne is traditionally made from a blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier grapes that provide the characteristic rosé color and part of the blend.
Producer
Ours is a family-run business located in the village of Mailly Champagne on the north slopes of La Montagne de Reims. The village is classified as Grand Cru and is renowned for the quality of its Pinot Noir grapes and its Blanc de Noirs champagnes. We’ve been making champagne using grapes from our own vineyards since 1975 which means that we manage every step of the wine making process ourselves, always keeping in mind the principle that good wine starts with good grapes.
Tasting notes

Tasting notes for a Brut Rosé of this style might include a delicate array of red fruits like strawberries and raspberries, complemented by hints of citrus and a subtle floral undertone, all balanced with a crisp acidity and a fine, persistent mousse. The complexity and elegance of the rosé would be underscored by a creamy texture and a nuanced finish that reflects the quality of its craftsmanship.

Pairing

This Brut Rosé would pair beautifully with light appetizers, such as smoked salmon canapés or a fresh goat cheese salad, where its acidity and fruitiness would complement the flavors of the dishes. It would also make an excellent match for seafood dishes, especially grilled prawns or a lobster salad, where the wine’s crispness and subtle berry notes would enhance the sweetness of the seafood.

The Champagne region combines specific climate, soil, and topography conditions that form a unique terroir currently used by approx. 15 000 vine-growers and 300 wine houses. The region has 4 sub-regions - Montagne de Reims, Côte des Blancs, Vallée de la Marne, and Côte des Bar. Each provides customers with a different style of sparkling wine. The dominant grapes are Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier which are mainly used in Montagne de Reims and Vallée de la Marne, while Chardonnay shows excellent results in Côte des Blancs. The region is even more appealing because of the so-called "Growe's Champagne" wines, the production of which is overseen by one family from start to finish - they grow and press grapes, make wine, and bottle it in the territory of one wine house. This gives the wine a true charm, aura, and unique flavor.
