      About
      Rizzi Barbaresco "Pajore" is a dry red wine, crafted from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, sourced from the esteemed Pajore vineyard in the Barbaresco appellation of Piedmont, Italy. This wine reflects the high-quality terroir of Pajore, known for producing elegant and complex Nebbiolos. Rizzi's commitment to traditional winemaking practices enhances the purity and expressiveness of this distinctive vineyard site.
      Producer
      Ernesto Dellapiana founded the winery on an 18th century family estate in 1974. Having absorbed a deep love for the land and viticulture since childhood, in 1973 he made the decision to leave the city (as well as the lucrative paper business) and return to the love of his life - in the Langhe region with difficult mountain slopes. Over the years, he devoted all his efforts to the development and improvement of his enterprise, the quality and quantity of products produced, as a result, turning the winery with 36 hectares of vineyards into one of the largest, interesting and significant wine houses in the Barbaresco region. In recent years, Ernesto's children, daughter Jollet and son Enrico, have taken an active part in the work of the winery.
      Tasting notes

      Tasting notes for Rizzi Barbaresco “Pajore” reveal an aromatic bouquet of red cherries, rose petals, and violets, complemented by subtle hints of licorice, tobacco, and earthy minerality. On the palate, it offers a medium to full-bodied texture with firm, refined tannins and vibrant acidity, featuring flavors of ripe red fruits, dried herbs, and a touch of spice, leading to a long, graceful finish. This Nebbiolo is celebrated for its balance, elegance, and the harmonious integration of fruit and floral elements.
