Wine Searcher review
Roger Groult “12 Ans d’Âge” is an elegant Calvados from the Pays d’Auge region of Normandy, aged in oak barrels for at least 12 years. This traditional apple cider distillate offers depth, complexity, and a refined balance between fruit character and oak influence. The extended maturation creates a smooth texture and layered aromas typical of high-quality Calvados.
Amber color. Aromas of baked apples, vanilla, caramel, dried fruits, and gentle spices. On the palate it is rich and warming, with flavors of ripe apple, honey, toasted oak, and subtle spice. The finish is long, smooth, and elegant.
Best enjoyed as a digestif. Pairs beautifully with apple-based desserts, caramel desserts, dark chocolate, and aged cheeses.
