Aloxe-Corton is one of the oldest wine-producing villages in Burgundy, located near the town of Beaune. The soil contains limestone that saturates the berries with nitrogen, helping the process of fermentation, while clay allows the grapes to retain sufficient moisture from rainwater especially in hot weather. The local wines love silence as they slowly ripen in the bottles developing a very rich and complex taste.
