Kurtatsch Chardonnay Riserva DOC “Freienfeld” 2022

This dry Chardonnay Riserva from DO Alto Adige is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes grown in high-altitude, calcareous sandy soils near Kurtatsch. The wine is barrel‑aged (including fine lees stirring), then aged at least six months in bottle before release. Pale gold in color; nose of citrus, peach, floral and waxy notes with oak nuances; on the palate it is creamy and structured with balanced acidity and mineral depth. Serve at 11–13 °C, ideal with poultry, creamy pasta or medium-aged cheeses.

Bright, intense light gold color with glossy sheen. Aromas reveal layered citrus, ripe peach, delicate nutty tones and subtle waxy or honeyed notes, underlined by fine oak and pronounced minerality. On the palate it’s full-bodied and rich, with creamy texture, vibrant acidity and a refined salty-bitter finish. Harmonious and elegant with depth and precision.
