About
Henri Ehrhart Crémant d’Alsace “Brut 24 Mois” 2022 is a dry sparkling wine, crafted from a blend of Pinot Blanc, Pinot Auxerrois, and Chardonnay grapes, sourced from the Alsace region in northeastern France. Aged for 24 months on lees, this crémant showcases the meticulous craftsmanship and traditional methods for which Alsace sparkling wines are known. The extended aging brings refined complexity and a fine, persistent mousse, offering an elegant alternative to Champagne.
Producer
The wines of Henri Ehrhart are produced by a traditional family-run and wine-making company located in the heart of the Alsatian vineyards of Ammerschwihr. The reputation of this important wine-growing town is well-established.  Henri took the helm of the family business in the 1970s and created the Henri Ehrhart winery as we now it today , but now working more as an ambassador, while his kids Cyrille and Sophia Ehrhart  now run the day by day needs of the winery.
Tasting notes

Henri Ehrhart Crémant d’Alsace “Brut 24 Mois” 2022 reveals delicate aromas of crisp green apple, white flowers, and freshly baked brioche. On the palate, it is lively and precise, with flavors of citrus zest, pear, and subtle toasted notes that add depth and sophistication. Its vibrant acidity and creamy texture lead to a clean, refreshing finish that highlights its finesse and balance.

Auxerrois can offer quality white wine with varied palette of citrus flavors, often with a rich, musky aroma profile. As it ages, it can show honeyed aromas and will deepen in color. Cooler climate helps this low-acid grape variety achieve fine levels of freshness.
Alsace, located on the northeastern border of France, differs from other wine regions in the country with its pronounced Franco–German culture. This is the result of historical events influencing the changing borders between Germany and France in recent centuries - and they are visible not only in Alsatian architecture and culture, but also in wines. Alsace is the only wine-growing region in France with the famous Riesling and Gewürztraminer. Both of these grapes are more often associated with German wines and serve as reminders of the history of Alsace. Pinot Gris, commonly used in mixtures with different varieties in other regions, is another of the region's noble varieties. Alsatian Grand Cru wines are only allowed to be made from these three varieties, but there is an exception for Muscat grapes, which can be grown under special conditions. The Vosges Mountains play a key role in determining the microclimate of the region; they not only provide protection from the prevailing westerly winds, but also create a natural natural barrier from rain, which helps to reduce the amount of precipitation in the region.
