Sommelier recommends

“The nose reveals elegant aromas of dark cherry, fresh blackberry, spice, and rich earthy notes. On the palate, the wine is juicy, with flavours of dried dark berries and cherry. The tannins are firm and chalky.” — Ronalds Pētersons, Sommelier at Noble Wine

Vietti “Perbacco” Langhe Nebbiolo DOC 2023 is a refined red wine from Piedmont, crafted from 100% Nebbiolo grapes sourced from several outstanding vineyards in the Barolo area. Produced following a philosophy similar to Barolo and aged in large oak casks, it is released as Langhe Nebbiolo DOC, offering vibrant fruit, early approachability, and remarkable complexity. The 2023 vintage beautifully showcases Nebbiolo's hallmark elegance, aromatic depth, and structured character. “Perbacco” is widely regarded as an excellent introduction to the Barolo style while delivering outstanding quality and impressive ageing potential.

The bouquet reveals red cherry, wild raspberry, and rose petal aromas layered with licorice, tar, dried herbs, and sweet spice notes. Medium- to full-bodied and elegantly structured on the palate, the wine displays refined tannins, vibrant acidity, and a long mineral finish.

Perfect with beef tenderloin, lamb, game, truffle risotto, mushroom dishes, and long-aged cheeses. Its structure and aromatic complexity make it an outstanding companion to the traditional cuisine of Piedmont.

Nebbiolo wines tipically have rich, but elegant tannins, high acidity and unic scent – often characterized as "roses and tar". After a few years of vintage, most Nebbiolo wines begin fading from intensive ruby to a glorious brick orange color and developing flavors of mushroom, moss, leather and black pepper.
The Langhe is a mountainous region of Piedmont located east of the Tanaro River and south of the capital of Alba. Lange has a long history of winemaking, and many of the wines produced here use traditional, well-established grape varieties such as Arneis and Vermentino for white wines, and Nebbiolo, Dolcetto and Freisa for reds. Since its official launch in November 1994, Langhe DOC has built a significant reputation for innovative viticulture. The Langhe wine region, known as the 'quality triangle', is made up of a unique combination of climate, soil and local varieties that create a rich wine range. Also, one cannot fail to note the passion and obsession of local producers who fully devote their whole life to serving their land.
