Producer
The Rocche dei Manzoni winery is located in Mancone Soprani and is part of the Monforte d'Albas commune. Created in the 18th century, it resumed its activities in 1974, when the old buildings and famous vineyards were acquired by Valentino and Jolanda Migliorini. Valentino fell head over heels in love with Piedmont on a trip to procure fine red wines for his Michelin-starred restaurant in the Emilia-Romagna region. Always following the spirit of fashion, the Francophile returned to Barolo with the skills of a winemaker, which he inherited from his father. Soon Valentino's passion for the Nebbiolo grapes surpassed his loyalty to the cuisine of the Emilia-Romagna region: he left the restaurant that brought him fame to devote his life to grapes, wine and daring experiments in wine production.
Tasting notes
The nose reveals delicate aromas of white peach, citrus blossom, green apple, and subtle hints of vanilla and almonds. On the palate, it is fresh and vibrant, with flavors of ripe pear, lemon zest, and a touch of toasted oak. The finish is long, crisp, and harmonious, highlighting the wine’s balance and finesse.

The Langhe is a mountainous region of Piedmont located east of the Tanaro River and south of the capital of Alba. Lange has a long history of winemaking, and many of the wines produced here use traditional, well-established grape varieties such as Arneis and Vermentino for white wines, and Nebbiolo, Dolcetto and Freisa for reds. Since its official launch in November 1994, Langhe DOC has built a significant reputation for innovative viticulture. The Langhe wine region, known as the 'quality triangle', is made up of a unique combination of climate, soil and local varieties that create a rich wine range. Also, one cannot fail to note the passion and obsession of local producers who fully devote their whole life to serving their land.
