Pazo Senorans “Seleccion de Anada” Rias Baixas 2014
Sommelier recommends
“The nose reveals aromas of beeswax, pear, and nectarine. On the palate, the wine is juicy and rounded, with notes of peach and lemon zest. The texture is creamy, and the finish is long.” — Ronalds Pētersons, Sommelier at Noble Wine17 in stock
Wine Searcher review
Pazo Señorans "Selección de Añada" Rías Baixas 2014 is one of Spain's iconic white wines, demonstrating the remarkable ageing potential of Albariño. Produced from 100% Albariño grown in the Val do Salnés subregion, the vineyards benefit from Atlantic influences, granite soils, and a cool maritime climate that define the wine's freshness and mineral character. Unlike most Albariño wines, Selección de Añada is aged on its fine lees for several years before release, developing exceptional depth, texture, and complexity while retaining the variety's hallmark vibrancy and elegance. The 2014 vintage offers outstanding balance and the capacity for continued evolution in bottle.
The nose reveals ripe lemon, lime, white peach, and baked apple aromas layered with chamomile, beeswax, saline notes, and flinty minerality. Dry, concentrated, and beautifully complex on the palate, the wine combines vibrant acidity with a creamy texture and remarkable mineral precision. The long finish is marked by citrus, saline freshness, and elegant nutty nuances.
An outstanding pairing for oysters, lobster, scallops, grilled white fish, octopus, sushi, roasted vegetables, and aged goat’s cheese. Its vibrant acidity and pronounced mineral character beautifully complement seafood and refined Mediterranean cuisine.
