A dry red wine from Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste, Pauillac Premier Grand Cru Classé (Médoc). Blended mainly from Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot and others. Aged ~18 months in French oak (around 50% new). Style: Red – Savory and Classic — elegant, profound, and age-worthy.

Tasting notes

Deep ruby hue. The nose reveals black fruit — blackberry, dark cherry — accented by cedar, black pepper, and dark chocolate nuances. On the palate, it’s structured and full-bodied, with ripe tannins, fresh acidity, and mineral depth. The finish is long, elegant, and oak-driven.

Pairing

Perfect with grilled or roasted beef, game dishes, rich ragouts, and aged strong cheeses.

The soil is poor - big rocks in the gravel makes it difficult for the vine roots to get water but this allows them to gather lots of valuable minerals on the way. The taste of fresh fruit, wood and spicy tannins combined with a rich aroma of cigar boxes and dark berries are the qualities that make this appellation a true value. Winemakers use all the grapes allowed in the region - Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot.

Bordeaux wines are considered to be the most prestige and renowned in the world. Bordeaux wines can be described as big, complex and with a strong character, but very friendly at the same time so that each and every wine lover could find something tasty and suitable for a great wine night.
