Francis Orban Blanc de Noirs Extra-Brut NV is a dry champagne made exclusively from Meunier grapes, grown in the Vallée de la Marne, in the Leuvrigny and Sainte-Gemme terroirs. With minimal dosage, this champagne highlights the balance and freshness of juicy fruit, offering a refined expression of its clay, limestone, and sandy soils. Aged for at least 36 months sur lattes, it combines elegance with vibrant liveliness.
On the nose, it reveals fruity aromas with a pronounced saline character, featuring notes of quince compote, marzipan, orange pith, pear, and hints of ginger. The palate is supple and fresh, with smooth, creamy effervescence and a succulent texture. Subtle orange acidity and juicy fruit flavors create a harmonious and lively finish.
This champagne pairs beautifully with seared scallops with clementine reduction, creamy clam risotto, or fillet of pollack with mashed sweet potato. It also complements light desserts, such as mascarpone lemon cream with apricot coulis.
