      Domaine de la Pépière “Clisson” Muscadet-Sèvre-et-Maine 2022 Magnum is a refined and terroir-driven white wine from the Loire Valley. Crafted from Melon de Bourgogne grapes in the Clisson cru appellation, the wine reflects the granite soils and structured style for which the area is renowned. The 2022 vintage combines freshness, concentration, and elegant texture. Extended lees ageing adds depth and creaminess while preserving the wine’s vibrant minerality and energy. The magnum format allows for slower evolution and exceptional ageing potential.

      On the very border of Brittany, in the village of Maisdon-sur-Sèvre, there is the Domaine de la Pépière winery. Mark, who grew up in the village of La Pepierre, created the winery in 1984. The name La Pépierre comes from the French word "pépie" (thirst). Walking over the village, on the slopes where the grapes grow, it is easy to understand the origin of the name. Over the years of development, the winery "Domaine de la Pépière" acquired new sites, closely monitored the quality and age of the vines, as well as the originality of their terroirs.

      The bouquet reveals lemon zest, green apples, white peach, and white flowers layered with chalky minerality, sea salt nuances, and delicate brioche notes. The palate is fresh and concentrated, with lively acidity, creamy texture, and a long mineral finish. Elegant, layered, and precisely structured.

      Perfect with oysters, seafood platters, grilled fish, scallops, sashimi, and goat cheese. The wine’s saline minerality and freshness beautifully enhance delicate seafood flavors and refined cuisine.

The fresh, creamy wines with green apple and iodine notes in the aroma are recommended to be consumed after a few years of ageing. A perfect partner for oysters.
