Wine Searcher review
Fresh, vibrant, and full of character, this 2023 Aligoté from Domaine Charles Audoin is a shining example of how expressive this often-overlooked white Burgundy grape can be. Sourced from high-altitude vineyards near Marsannay, this wine reflects purity, minerality, and the winery’s commitment to terroir-driven winemaking.
Clear pale yellow in the glass. The nose offers lively aromas of green apple, lemon zest, and a hint of white flowers. On the palate, it’s crisp and linear, with a mineral backbone, refreshing acidity, and a clean, dry finish. A great example of Aligoté’s tension and energy.
Perfect as an aperitif, or served alongside fresh seafood, grilled vegetables, goat cheese, or light salads. Its acidity also makes it a great companion to rich dishes like quiche Lorraine or creamy sauces.
