About
Terrecarsiche 1939 Nero di Troia Puglia IGT 2023 is a dry red wine made exclusively from Nero di Troia grapes grown in the sun-soaked Puglia region of Southern Italy. Crafted with respect for local tradition and the unique coastal terroir, it showcases the character and authenticity of one of the region’s most historic native varieties. This wine is known for its deep ruby color and elegant structure, reflecting careful vineyard selection and thoughtful winemaking.
Tasting notes

The nose reveals intense aromas of black cherry, ripe plum, violet, and subtle spice. On the palate, it offers a harmonious blend of dark berries, licorice, and earthy undertones. Firm yet smooth tannins lead to a long, balanced finish with hints of cocoa and Mediterranean herbs.

Pairing

This wine pairs beautifully with rich Italian dishes such as tomato-based pastas, roasted meats, and aged cheeses. Its robust structure also complements grilled vegetables and savory stews.

This wonderful land is rich with olive trees and wine. However for a long time the Puglia region wines had a notoriety of being "flat" and highly alcoholic. Local winemakers were able to overcome this situation as the wine and become more diverse.
