Wine Searcher review
A 100% Pinot Meunier Extra-Brut single‑vineyard Champagne from “Les Terres Bleues” in Vandières (Vallée de la Marne), biodynamically farmed. Soils are fossil‑rich marls at ~180 m elevation. Vinified with spontaneous yeasts (2/3 tank, 1/3 old oak barrels), unfined and unfiltered. Aged on lees, dosage ~2 g/L. Style: Sparkling – Complex and Traditional — richly textured, mineral, with long aging potential.
Pale golden hue with a refined bead and clear mineral character. On the nose, notes of green orchard fruit, white florals, subtle citrus zest and a hint of salinity. On the palate, crisp acidity, full-bodied richness, and a long, slightly nutty finish—an elegant expression of single-vineyard Pinot Meunier.
Pairs beautifully with oysters, lobster, crab, and white meats with citrus or nut-based sauces. Excellent with aged cheeses and shellfish dishes, where the minerality and salinity enhance the food’s flavors.
