Wine Searcher review
A red wine from Château de Malleret, Haut‑Médoc (Bordeaux, France), classified as Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel. The 2022 vintage, now released, offers minerality and structure from a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. Crafted with hand-harvested grapes, plot-by-plot vinification, temperature-controlled fermentation, and approximately 12 months of oak aging. Shows elegance and age-worthiness, intended for drinking from 2025 to 2045.
Medium-bodied with a rich bouquet of red and black fruits — blackberry, currant, and wild plum. On the nose: coffee, dark fruit, pipe tobacco, tannins, and spice lend depth. On the palate: juicy and mineral-driven with a long chalky finish and balanced structure.
Excellent with grilled or roasted meats — beef, game, and aged cheeses.
