Producer
For nearly 60 years, this estate has been crafting premium quality champagnes on its vineyards in the Champagne region's Côte de Sézanne. Guided by their passion and expertise, the Le Brun De Neuville family has emerged as one of the leaders in the champagne market. Consisting of 170 skilled wine-growers, this company boasts a vast vineyard that spans across 12 charming villages, each with unique terroirs that lend their champagnes a distinctive flavor. These exceptional wines bear a testament to the environment in which they are meticulously cultivated, and the traditional expertise of the producers that craft them.   Nestled on a chalky hillside, the vineyards are positioned to benefit from ample water sources and sunlight, which enable the grapes to thrive amidst the sweeping high plain of wind farms and wheat. These vineyards are cultivated through organic methods, foregoing the use of herbicides and pesticides on the grapevines. The majority of the vines are more than 40 years old, contributing to the complexity of the wine. Chardonnay comprises nearly 90% of the grape varieties, with Pinot Noir making up the remaining 11%.
Tasting notes

On the nose, it reveals intense aromas of figs, yellow plums, dates, ginger, preserved lemons, and walnuts, with a touch of balsamic. The palate offers a concentrated interplay of dried fruit and toasty notes, supported by very fine, well-integrated bubbles. This Champagne is complex and layered, with aromas of hazelnuts, ginger, candied citrus, dried pineapple, spices, toast, and roasted almonds.

Pairing

This Champagne pairs beautifully with rich fish dishes such as salmon or tuna, as well as mild and soft cheeses. Its complexity and depth also complement dishes like fish tacos, caviar, and hummus.

The Champagne region combines specific climate, soil, and topography conditions that form a unique terroir currently used by approx. 15 000 vine-growers and 300 wine houses. The region has 4 sub-regions - Montagne de Reims, Côte des Blancs, Vallée de la Marne, and Côte des Bar. Each provides customers with a different style of sparkling wine. The dominant grapes are Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier which are mainly used in Montagne de Reims and Vallée de la Marne, while Chardonnay shows excellent results in Côte des Blancs. The region is even more appealing because of the so-called "Growe's Champagne" wines, the production of which is overseen by one family from start to finish - they grow and press grapes, make wine, and bottle it in the territory of one wine house. This gives the wine a true charm, aura, and unique flavor.
