Kanonkop "Kadette Pinotage" Stellenbosch 2024 is an expressive 100% Pinotage that showcases the approachable, fruit-forward style of South Africa's signature grape variety. The grapes are sourced from carefully selected vineyards in Stellenbosch, where decomposed granite soils and a warm Mediterranean climate provide excellent ripeness and balance. Following traditional fermentation, the wine is matured in oak barrels, adding subtle notes of spice and cocoa while preserving Pinotage's vibrant fruit character. The 2024 vintage is fresh, juicy, and elegantly structured, making it an enjoyable wine to drink in its youth.
The nose reveals aromas of ripe raspberry, red cherry, and plum, layered with violet, sweet spice, cocoa, and a hint of smoke.
