Jean-Noel Haton Brut “Reserve” NV 1,5L

SKU: FRCHJNHSPCH3150NV Category: Tag:
Chardonnay & Pinot Meunier & Pinot Noir | Champagne | France | Sparkling Wine | Jean-Noël Haton | N.V. | 1,5 L | 12,5 %
About
This Magnum (1.5 L) Champagne is crafted from a classic blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier. Fermented and aged for extended periods in oak and steel, it offers complexity with delicate dosage (~6–8 g/L)  and a persistent mousse. Classified as Sparkling – Full and Complex, it delivers orchard fruit, brioche richness, refined texture and cellar potential
Tasting notes

Straw-yellow in the glass with a fine bead. Aromas include green apple, citrus zest (lemon, grapefruit), quince, hazelnut and subtle salinity intertwined with a mineral freshness. On the palate, it’s dry, crisp and precise with vibrant acidity and a clean mineral finish layered with citrus fruits and orchard notes.

Pairing

Perfect as an aperitif or paired with oysters, langoustines, delicate seafood risottos, or shellfish. Also excellent with soft cheeses like Comté or Brie, poultry with citrus sauce, or light white meat dishes featuring herbs and citrus notes.

This family-run business in Damery is successfully independent and owns vines in the Champagne region’s highest-rated “crus”. The house of Jean-Noël Haton Champagne was founded in 1928. Today Jean-Noël Haton and his son Sébastien create Champagne according to traditional methods such as living in harmony with the soil, seeking maturity and vinifying plots separately. The mastery of blending is essential among the Haton family and so is the time. They patiently allow for aromas to settle in and blossom and they dedicate time to let the wines mature, in this way mastering the aging. Today the Haton family is part of the top 30 producers of Champagne.
The Champagne region combines specific climate, soil, and topography conditions that form a unique terroir currently used by approx. 15 000 vine-growers and 300 wine houses. The region has 4 sub-regions - Montagne de Reims, Côte des Blancs, Vallée de la Marne, and Côte des Bar. Each provides customers with a different style of sparkling wine. The dominant grapes are Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier which are mainly used in Montagne de Reims and Vallée de la Marne, while Chardonnay shows excellent results in Côte des Blancs. The region is even more appealing because of the so-called "Growe's Champagne" wines, the production of which is overseen by one family from start to finish - they grow and press grapes, make wine, and bottle it in the territory of one wine house. This gives the wine a true charm, aura, and unique flavor.
