About
The Gonet Philippe Brut Blanc de Blancs "3210" is an innovative and impeccably crafted Champagne that redefines elegance through its pure and natural approach. Made from 100% Chardonnay, sourced from the chalk-rich soils of the Côte des Blancs, this Blanc de Blancs is named for its unique aging process: 3 years on lees, 2 additional years in bottle post-disgorgement, and 0 dosage. This zero-dosage Champagne is a true celebration of terroir, showcasing the vibrant minerality, crisp precision, and subtle complexity that only Chardonnay can deliver. The "3210" is perfect for those who appreciate a leaner, more mineral-driven style of Champagne that is both refreshing and deeply expressive.
Producer
Founded in 1830, Champagne Philippe Gonet sits alongside legends such as the Champagne Salon and Clos du Mesnil. The vineyards, which cover 19 hectares and are spread over 11 different villages, are dominated by Chardonnay. A third of the Chardonnay vineyards are located in Le Mesnil, the oldest of which was planted in 1929. Today the winery is run by the seventh generation of the family represented by brother and sister - Pierre and Chantal Gonet. They continue to produce wines that fully express the qualities of the Chardonnay grapes from Le Mesnil and have a distinct structure that reflects the rich, pure, nuanced mineral character of the Le Mesnil-sur-Auger terroir. The wine house has built its reputation on Blanc de Blancs wines for over 100 years. The Gonet family is one of the largest producers of grapes in Champagne, with most of it grown on their own land. Pierre and Chantal try to fully convey the qualities of Le Mesnil's terroir through their Blanc de Blancs cuvées.
Tasting notes

The Gonet Philippe Brut Blanc de Blancs “3210” greets the nose with a captivating bouquet of citrus zest—lemon and lime—alongside green apple, crushed oyster shell, and subtle hints of white flowers. On the palate, it is taut and vibrant, with laser-sharp acidity driving flavors of crisp pear, quince, and a touch of grapefruit pith. The extended lees aging adds a whisper of brioche and almond cream, balancing the wine’s mineral-driven core. The finish is exceptionally long and precise, leaving lingering notes of chalk, sea spray, and a mouthwatering salinity that keeps you coming back for more. With no added sugar, this Champagne is pure and linear, making it a true expression of Chardonnay in its most natural state.

Pairing

The Gonet Philippe Brut Blanc de Blancs “3210” is an exceptional partner for fresh, delicate, and lightly briny dishes, where its bone-dry profile and vibrant acidity can shine. It pairs exquisitely with freshly shucked oysters or a seafood tower, as the Champagne’s saline minerality mirrors the flavors of the ocean. For a more substantial seafood dish, pair it with poached turbot or sole meunière, as the wine’s crisp citrus notes brighten the buttery richness of the fish. Vegetarian options such as a citrus and fennel salad or asparagus with a lemon vinaigrette make for excellent pairings, with the wine’s zesty and herbal nuances complementing these fresh, green flavors. For cheese, opt for a young, tangy goat cheese or a delicate Brie de Meaux to emphasize the wine’s creamy and chalky notes. Whether served as an aperitif or alongside an elegant meal, the “3210” elevates the experience with its impeccable precision and natural beauty.

The Champagne region combines specific climate, soil, and topography conditions that form a unique terroir currently used by approx. 15 000 vine-growers and 300 wine houses. The region has 4 sub-regions - Montagne de Reims, Côte des Blancs, Vallée de la Marne, and Côte des Bar. Each provides customers with a different style of sparkling wine. The dominant grapes are Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier which are mainly used in Montagne de Reims and Vallée de la Marne, while Chardonnay shows excellent results in Côte des Blancs. The region is even more appealing because of the so-called "Growe's Champagne" wines, the production of which is overseen by one family from start to finish - they grow and press grapes, make wine, and bottle it in the territory of one wine house. This gives the wine a true charm, aura, and unique flavor.
