Until 1997, Nenin belonged to the Despujol family, who sold it to Jean Hubert and Michel Delon, who owned the Château Léoville-Las-Cases winery. Michel Rolland still acts as a consultant, but the wines have a cleaner taste and reflect a deeper fruitiness than before. The Nenin winery is located in a fabulous 19th century estate outside the village of Catusseau with 25 hectares of vineyards set in a large park. The vineyard faces southwest and is located on a high plateau where the soil consists of sand and gravel.

Pomerol is the smallest appellation in Bordeaux. It doesn’t use any classification systems - it's all democracy here.
