About
The Franck Bonville Brut Rosé is a sophisticated and expressive Champagne, blending the finesse of grand cru Chardonnay with the depth and vibrancy of Pinot Noir. Crafted primarily from Chardonnay sourced from the esteemed grand cru vineyards of Avize in the Côte des Blancs, this rosé gains its delicate color and red fruit character from the addition of Pinot Noir vinified as red wine. The result is a Champagne that marries elegance and vitality, showcasing a perfect balance of creamy texture, fresh acidity, and juicy red fruit flavors. Ideal for celebrations or as a versatile food companion, this Brut Rosé is a radiant expression of Franck Bonville’s expertise and dedication to terroir-driven winemaking.
Tasting notes

The nose offers an enticing bouquet of wild strawberries, red currants, and raspberries, complemented by delicate floral aromas of rose petals and hints of citrus zest. Subtle notes of brioche, almond, and crushed chalk add layers of complexity. On the palate, the Franck Bonville Brut Rosé is vibrant and silky, with flavors of ripe red berries, blood orange, and a touch of cranberry. The Chardonnay base provides a bright, mineral-driven backbone, while the Pinot Noir lends richness and a gentle tannic structure. A fine, persistent mousse enhances the wine’s creamy texture, leading to a crisp, refreshing finish that lingers with notes of salinity and candied orange peel.

Pairing

The Franck Bonville Brut Rosé is a versatile and elegant pairing for a wide range of dishes. Its vibrant red fruit and lively acidity make it a superb match for seared salmon or duck breast with a cherry glaze, where the Champagne’s fruit complements the dish while its freshness cuts through the richness. For lighter fare, it pairs beautifully with smoked salmon blinis or a salad of fresh berries and goat cheese, where the wine’s creamy texture harmonizes with the tangy elements. For a sweet finish, try it with a strawberry tart or macarons filled with raspberry cream. Each pairing highlights the Champagne’s balance of fruit, freshness, and minerality, elevating every bite to a new level of indulgence.

The Champagne region combines specific climate, soil, and topography conditions that form a unique terroir currently used by approx. 15 000 vine-growers and 300 wine houses. The region has 4 sub-regions - Montagne de Reims, Côte des Blancs, Vallée de la Marne, and Côte des Bar. Each provides customers with a different style of sparkling wine. The dominant grapes are Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier which are mainly used in Montagne de Reims and Vallée de la Marne, while Chardonnay shows excellent results in Côte des Blancs. The region is even more appealing because of the so-called "Growe's Champagne" wines, the production of which is overseen by one family from start to finish - they grow and press grapes, make wine, and bottle it in the territory of one wine house. This gives the wine a true charm, aura, and unique flavor.
