Dom Perignon Brut 2015

SKU: LV0PRIWISP2575015 Category:
Chardonnay & Pinot Noir | Champagne | France | Sparkling Wine | Dom Perignon | 2015 | 0,75 L | 12,5 %
About
Dom Pérignon Brut 2015 is a dry vintage Champagne meticulously crafted from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes in the celebrated Champagne region of France. This prestigious cuvée, emblematic of Dom Pérignon’s commitment to expression and finesse, is drawn from a selection of top Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards, offering a seamless experience shaped by its terroir.
Producer
Dom Pérignon is a vintage Prestige Cuvée label of Champagne house Moët & Chandon, produced only in the best years. Thus, from 1921 to 2010, 44 vintages of white Dom Pérignon and 26 vintages of rosé Dom Pérignon were produced. It is named for Dom Pérignon, a Benedictine monk who, contrary to well-known myths, did not discover the Classic production method for making sparkling wines, but was an important quality innovator for Champagne.
Tasting notes

On the nose, this vintage opens with rich, roasted and cocoa tones, gracefully interwoven with delicate floral notes of lime blossom, jasmine, and peony, followed by subtle spice hints of aniseed and cardamom. The palate is characterized by a harmonious interplay of peach, nectarine, citrus, and gentian, offering both breadth and delicacy in a refined, textured structure. Esteemed critics further praise the wine’s complexity and energy.

Pairing

This Champagne pairs splendidly with luxurious seafood such as caviar, king crab, and langoustine—its aromatic complexity enhancing the briny, delicate flavors. It also complements richer, tangy meats like pork, lamb, or duck, and the wine’s exotic fruity and spicy hints (think kiwi, guava, and green curry spices) elevate dishes with bold, nuanced flavors.

The Champagne region combines specific climate, soil, and topography conditions that form a unique terroir currently used by approx. 15 000 vine-growers and 300 wine houses. The region has 4 sub-regions - Montagne de Reims, Côte des Blancs, Vallée de la Marne, and Côte des Bar. Each provides customers with a different style of sparkling wine. The dominant grapes are Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier which are mainly used in Montagne de Reims and Vallée de la Marne, while Chardonnay shows excellent results in Côte des Blancs. The region is even more appealing because of the so-called "Growe's Champagne" wines, the production of which is overseen by one family from start to finish - they grow and press grapes, make wine, and bottle it in the territory of one wine house. This gives the wine a true charm, aura, and unique flavor.
