Daniel Chotard Sancerre “Tradition” 2024 is an authentic expression of Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc, embodying the classic Sancerre style — fresh, mineral-driven, and precisely structured. The grapes are grown on limestone and clay soils around Reigny, which impart tension and elegance to the wine. This cuvée reflects a pure expression of terroir, highlighting the balance between fruit and minerality.
Tasting notes
The nose opens with citrus, grapefruit, green apple, and fresh herbal notes, complemented by subtle chalky and stony nuances. On the palate, it is clean and refreshing, with bright acidity, a crisp structure, and a pure mineral finish. Light to medium-bodied, with excellent precision and elegance.

Sauvignon Blanc
Sauvignon Blanc is a white-wine grape from western France, now successfully grown in emerging and established wine regions all over the world. The variety produces lightly colored, aromatic dry white wines with fresh acidity. Synonyms: Fumé Blanc, Sauvignon Bianco, Muskat-Silvaner, Muskat-Sylvaner.
Sancerre
Sancerre produces ones of the most famous French wines. Vines are cultivated on slopes at altitudes of 100m above sea level. The soil - very chalky and contains a large amount of calcium therefore notes of minerals and flint are dominant in wines and it is characterized by a high, juicy acidity. These wines are pleasant to drink while they are young and all the beautiful notes stand out in the aroma like black currant leaves, gooseberries and green grass.
Loire is one of the biggest regions in Northern France. This beautiful valley that stretches more than 300 km in length has been the inspiration of poetry and art throughout the ages. The dominant grapes are different in each part of Loire, and this is the only region in France that produces equally good white, red, rose, dessert and sparkling wines.
