A dry white wine from Pouilly-Fumé AOC (Loire Valley, France), made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc. Grapes grown on limestone and flint soils give the wine its characteristic smoky minerality (“fumé”). Crafted to preserve maximum freshness and aromatic purity. Style — White – Green and Flinty.

Producer

The descendants of the Scottish family, Comte Henry d'Assay and his sisters, own the Château de Tracy estate. After naturalization, their surname was localized as Destutt. In 1586, François Stutte did not marry a lady of the Tracy family. North of the Pouilly Fume region, on the slopes overlooking the Loire, from the Tracy Hill to the Champs de Cris plateau, stretch the vineyards of the Château de Tracy estate. Before harvesting, Comte Henry Dassay and his entire team focus on the grapes in the vineyards to begin harvesting when the grapes have reached their full aroma and flavor.

Tasting notes

Pale lemon colour with green reflections. Aromas of citrus, fresh green apple, white flowers, blackcurrant leaf, and a smoky minerality typical of Pouilly-Fumé terroir. On the palate — crisp acidity, pure citrus, a touch of exotic fruit, and a long, fresh, mineral finish.

Pairing

Perfect with oysters, sea bass, grilled prawns, goat cheese (especially Crottin de Chavignol), and light vegetable dishes.

Locals call the grape Blanc Fume. The soil here is rich with limestone and flint that gives wines a high, crunchy acidity as well as strong gun powder and green grass notes in the aroma.
