      Castellari Bergaglio "Rovereto Vigna Vecchia" Gavi di Gavi 2019 is a dry white wine from Gavi di Gavi DOCG in Piedmont, Italy, crafted from 100% Cortese sourced from old vines in the renowned Rovereto cru vineyard. Limestone and clay soils contribute remarkable minerality, finesse, and structure, while ageing on fine lees adds depth and a creamy texture without compromising the grape's signature freshness and precision.

      Castellari Bergaglio was created by a family that decided to take up winemaking at the end of the 19th century. The challenge of the winery from the very beginning was to produce wines that show the qualities of terroir in taste. To achieve this, the Cortese grape variety was used, which can be considered a symbol of the Gavi wine region.

      The nose reveals aromas of ripe lemon, white peach, pear, and acacia blossom, complemented by notes of almond, honey, and pronounced minerality. On the palate, the wine is dry, elegant, and concentrated, with vibrant acidity, a creamy texture, and a long mineral finish accented by delicate almond notes.

      An excellent match for oysters, lobster, grilled prawns, sea bass, seafood risotto, white meat dishes, and aged hard cheeses. Its elegance and mineral structure make it a superb partner for refined Mediterranean cuisine.
