Bertrand-Delespierre Saignée des Terres Amoureuses 2015 is a dry (Extra Brut) sparkling rosé wine made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes in the Montagne de Reims region of Champagne, France. It is produced by the grower-producer Bertrand‑Delespierre, and sourced from vineyards in the Premier Cru villages of Chamery, Écueil and Villedommange. The wine is a Rosé de Saignée — crafted from maceration of Pinot Noir, vinified and aged in demi-muid (600 L barrels), with a restrained dosage (typical of Extra Brut), showcasing the house’s focus on purity, terroir expression, and minimal intervention.
On the nose, expect inviting aromas of ripe red and forest berries — think wild strawberry, raspberry and perhaps a hint of darker cherry — layered over subtle mineral and fresh baking-bread undertones. On the palate the wine is lively and expressive, with juicy berry fruit, a fine spice nuance and refreshing acidity that give it an elegant and balanced character. The finish is long and fresh, with a delicate, refined crispness and lingering berry-mineral complexity — making it both approachable now and interesting to enjoy over the next few years.
This Champagne rosé pairs beautifully with light seafood dishes such as grilled shrimp, smoked salmon or oysters — its freshness and minerality complement the briny and delicate flavours. It also works well with dishes featuring mild cheeses, creamy appetizers or even subtle Asian cuisine, where its berry fruitiness and fine bubbles add brightness without overpowering the food.
