The name "Il Marzocco" pays homage to a stone lion, symbolizing wisdom and strength, reflecting the wine's character.

      Winery named after the first owners - the Avignonesi family. Since its foundation, it has experienced an exciting journey. Virginia Saverisa acquired the Avignonesi distillery in 2009. Avignonesi has become a leader in biodynamic viticulture in Italy. Since its acquisition, and thanks to Virginia's respect for the ecosystem, its employees and end consumers, the winery has begun to produce and make organic wines that are truly authentic in their origins.
      Tasting notes

      Il Marzocco 2023 presents an ample and intense bouquet, featuring sensuous notes of golden apple, honeysuckle, and exotic fruits such as pineapple, kumquat, and lychee. These aromas are layered with hints of candied orange zest, freshly cut grass, and subtle spicy undertones. On the palate, the wine is full yet lively, blending fruity notes with distinctive mineral qualities, leading to a luscious, long finish.

      This Chardonnay pairs beautifully with a variety of dishes, including roasted vegetables with pasta, legumes, spaghetti with tomato sauce, snails with mint, Genoese pesto, cheeses, and various cured meats.
