This is one of the few wine regions of Italy that is landlocked. Schiava is considered to be the most famous red variety that produces light wines. More complex wines are produced from Lagrein grapes. Teroldego Rotaliano is one of the finest Italian wines – dense, purple, soft, leaving a pleasant berry flavor in the mouth.
