This wine showcases the versatility of the Nebbiolo grape, offering a more accessible yet deeply expressive interpretation when compared to its Barolo and Barbaresco counterparts, without sacrificing the varietal's renowned complexity and elegance. Fenocchio's commitment to traditional winemaking techniques shines through in this wine, presenting a harmonious balance between the grape's natural characteristics and the subtle influence of the terroir.
Tasting notes

The tasting notes of Giacomo Fenocchio’s Langhe Nebbiolo reveal a vibrant array of red fruit aromas, including cherries and raspberries, layered with hints of violet, spice, and a touch of earthiness, leading to a palate that balances ripe fruit flavors with refined tannins and a fresh acidity. The finish is graceful and persistent, encapsulating the finesse that Nebbiolo wines are known for.

Pairing

This Langhe Nebbiolo pairs beautifully with a variety of dishes, including pasta with rich meat sauces or wild mushroom risotto, where the wine’s acidity and tannic structure complement the flavors and textures of the food. It also makes an excellent companion to charcuterie and medium-aged cheeses, where its fruitiness and complexity can shine, enhancing the overall dining experience.

Ja meklējat nākamo Itālijas vīna darīšanas zvaigzni, tad esat to atraduši. Pavisam nesen The New York Times veiktā Barolo vīnu vērtējumā Fenočio vīni ieguva 2. vietu, piekāpjoties tikai Elio Altare, bet pārspējot Elio Grasso, Massolino un Vietti vīnus. Šobrīd vīnu astronomiskā kvalitāte apsteidz cenu, kas nozīmē tikai to, ka Fenočio ir jābūt ikviena Barolo vīnu cienītāja vīna skapī.
Nebbiolo wines tipically have rich, but elegant tannins, high acidity and unic scent – often characterized as "roses and tar". After a few years of vintage, most Nebbiolo wines begin fading from intensive ruby to a glorious brick orange color and developing flavors of mushroom, moss, leather and black pepper.
The Langhe is a mountainous region of Piedmont located east of the Tanaro River and south of the capital of Alba. Lange has a long history of winemaking, and many of the wines produced here use traditional, well-established grape varieties such as Arneis and Vermentino for white wines, and Nebbiolo, Dolcetto and Freisa for reds. Since its official launch in November 1994, Langhe DOC has built a significant reputation for innovative viticulture. The Langhe wine region, known as the 'quality triangle', is made up of a unique combination of climate, soil and local varieties that create a rich wine range. Also, one cannot fail to note the passion and obsession of local producers who fully devote their whole life to serving their land.
