Francis Orban Brut “Prestige” NV

SKU: FRCHORBSPCH4750NV Category: Tag:
Chardonnay & Pinot Meunier | Champagne | France | Sparkling Wine | Francis Orban | N.V. | 0,75 L | 12 %
About
Francis Orban Brut Prestige NV is a dry sparkling wine (Champagne) produced in the Champagne region of France. It is crafted from a blend of Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay grapes. This non-vintage cuvée reflects the signature style of the house, combining freshness and finesse through traditional Champagne méthode and extended ageing on the lees.
Tasting notes

On the nose, it reveals delicate aromas of white-fleshed fruits such as pear and peach alongside subtle floral and brioche-like hints. On the palate, the wine shows a fine, elegant mousse and a smooth, creamy texture, unfolding a balanced spectrum of fruitiness and minerality with a gentle acidity. The finish is refined, light and slightly crisp, leaving a fresh aftertaste.

Pairing

This Champagne pairs wonderfully with seafood — think oysters or smoked salmon — as well as mild soft cheeses. Its bright acidity and refined elegance also make it a lovely accompaniment to light fish dishes or delicate appetizers.

The Champagne region combines specific climate, soil, and topography conditions that form a unique terroir currently used by approx. 15 000 vine-growers and 300 wine houses. The region has 4 sub-regions - Montagne de Reims, Côte des Blancs, Vallée de la Marne, and Côte des Bar. Each provides customers with a different style of sparkling wine. The dominant grapes are Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier which are mainly used in Montagne de Reims and Vallée de la Marne, while Chardonnay shows excellent results in Côte des Blancs. The region is even more appealing because of the so-called "Growe's Champagne" wines, the production of which is overseen by one family from start to finish - they grow and press grapes, make wine, and bottle it in the territory of one wine house. This gives the wine a true charm, aura, and unique flavor.
