Vodopivec
All products from this vendorThe vineyard surrounds Carso, a solid, monolithic stone found only in this remote region of Italy. To create a deep wine cellar, it was necessary to blow up and excavate a solid stone. The vines are planted here at a density of 10,000 per hectare and are tied to poles using the Alberello method. Only 0.5 kg of grapes can be harvested from one bush. Only rain supplies the vines with water. The grapes go through a long, slow process of maceration, gradually giving back what was created by nature. What nature has given to the vineyard, grapes now convey wine. The modern winery comes from the heritage of a family that has always looked after this land. They reinforce their love for agriculture with a deep understanding of nature. Today, only one Vitvoska wine is produced here - the Karso stone wine, which carries its rich historical heritage. There is only one correct and obvious way - this is the way of nature: to understand the earth and follow its rhythms. Everything should happen by itself, wisdom is the ability to wait for the right time. This is the path of nature and respect for life. Wine is a mirror of nature. Carso is known in the bottle.
Vitovska
All products from this varietalVitovska is a rare greenish-gold variety - produces dry white wines that are moderate to full bodied and are usually characterized as gental and creamy. Fine examples of Vitovska wine exhibit a wide range of flavors, such as stonefruit, citrus, pear and prune, as well as sage, spice and smoke.
This region is known for its white wines. They are produced from a variety of grapes, and this diversity distinguishes the region from other wine regions. Winemakers use non-traditional Italian varieties like Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling and Pinot Bianco, as well as the very "Italian” Pinot Grigio and local Picolit. Many wine critics agree that Friuli is the best white wine region in Italy.
