Montepulciano d`Abruzzo DOC 2020

Everything that is produced in the Tenuta Ulisse winery bears the imprint of this family of principles - respect for tradition, history and territory. The winery is run by brothers Antonio and Luigi Ulisse (Antonio, Luigi Ulisse). Tenuta Ulisse is a dynamic winery that moves with the times. It combines modern technology of winemaking with an energetic modern lifestyle. The wines produced maximize the potential and character of the grapes in the Abruzzo region.

Montepulciano red wines are appreciated for their soft jammy flavors, strong purple color and gentle tannins. The main aromas are dark cherry, earth, spices, cocoa and tobacco tones.

The wines of this region were at first intended for pass production, however, recently more and more wineries have begun making quality boutique wines in small volumes instead of table wines. There is only one DOCG and three DOC in Abruzzo, the reputation of which is closely monitored. Trebbiano, Chardonnay, Malvasia, Muscar, Viognier and Pinot Gris are the dominant white grapes while the red Motepulciano, Cabernet Franc, Gamay, Sangiovese and Shiraz are also common.
