Let’s get acquainted with sparkling wines

This lecture will take place with a glass of sparkling drink in hand! We will exhaustively (and excitingly) tell about all the nuances of the production of the “most famous of the famous sparkling” – champagne, but then we will focus on its younger “brothers and sisters”, which have undeservedly remained in its shadow… We are talking, of course, about Prosecco, Cremant and Cava! In the lecture we will cover: the history of sparkling wines and champagne, the diversity of sparkling wine styles in Europe, as well as serving, storing and pairing with food.
How to properly match wine to food?
22.11.2022, at 18.30
In the final lecture of the wine school, we will focus on the gastronomic topic – the compatibility of wine and food. This is undoubtedly one of the most important questions when getting to know wine culture. It is very important to understand the main principles and, when choosing food, to know the rules for serving wine, as well as what not to do in order not to spoil the drink. In this hands-on lesson with four different styles of wine, we will demonstrate how the ingredients in food and sauces affect the flavor of the wine and vice versa. We’ll also list the products that are the “enemies of wine” and share tips for sure-fire gastronomic pairings. After this lecture, enjoying wine will become even more pleasant and tastier!
