Alain Chavy Puligny-Montrachet 2023
Sommelier recommends
“The nose is complex, with aromas of citrus, minerality, white blossom, and toasted bread. On the palate, the wine is rounded, juicy, and beautifully balanced, with delicate notes of vanilla. The finish is persistent and rounded.” — Ronalds Pētersons, Sommelier at Noble Wine34 in stock
Wine Searcher review
A dry white wine from Puligny-Montrachet AOC (Burgundy, France), crafted from 100% Chardonnay. The grapes are grown on mineral-rich limestone soils, which give the wine its distinctive freshness and refined structure. Fermented and matured in oak barrels, it retains beautifully integrated oak while preserving the purity and elegance of its fruit profile. Style – White – Buttery and Complex.
Pale golden in colour with green reflections. The bouquet reveals aromas of lemon zest, white peach, fresh butter, almond, chalky minerality, and a delicate floral touch. On the palate, the wine is dry and elegant, with an outstanding balance of vibrant acidity and concentrated fruit, complemented by a creamy texture and a pure, mineral-driven finish.
An excellent match for sea bass, lobster, grilled cod, butter-poached prawns, and chicken served with creamy sauces.
