About

The Balvenie 12 Year Old DoubleWood is one of the most iconic Speyside single malt whiskies, renowned for its dual maturation process. The whisky is first aged in American oak casks and then finished in European sherry casks, where it gains additional depth and richness. This method creates a refined balance between sweetness, spice, and oak structure.

Tasting notes

The nose reveals dried berries, raisins, nuts, and vanilla, complemented by gentle cinnamon and oak. On the palate, it is rich and warming, with notes of honey, caramel, dried fruit, and subtle spice. The texture is smooth and rounded. The finish is long, warming, and harmonious.

Pairing
