About

This 8-year-old Calvados from Roger Groult is a refined expression of traditional Norman apple brandy. Carefully distilled from cider apples and aged for at least eight years in oak barrels, it achieves a beautiful balance between fresh fruit vibrancy and mature complexity. Elegant, smooth, and characterful, it represents authentic craftsmanship from the heart of Pays d’Auge.

Tasting notes

Amber-gold in color. The nose reveals baked apple, pear, vanilla, toasted almond, and delicate spice notes. On the palate, it is smooth and well-rounded, with layers of caramelized apple, oak, cinnamon, and a gentle warmth. The finish is long, elegant, and softly spiced.

Pairing

Best enjoyed neat at room temperature to fully appreciate its aromatic complexity. Excellent as a digestif, paired with apple tart, crème brûlée, dark chocolate, or fine cigar moments. Also suitable for refined cocktails.
